Welcome to Maine Coast Animal Rescue! We are dedicated to helping as many homeless, stray, or unwanted animals as possible. We have placed hundreds of animals in their forever homes through this organization and counting. We believe every animal deserves to be given a second chance, and we make that possible through rehabilitation, our incredible fosters, and networking with our communities all over Maine.

MCAR conducts several transport missions a month to different states in an effort to bring dogs that are in shelters that are either overflowing or are deemed a kill shelter, strays, or simply ones that are in need of a second chance, to Maine. MCAR is always in need of fosters, if you reside in Maine, and are looking to foster one of our rescues, please fill out the Foster Application here.
